Program Activities Coordinator

Oversee academic-based, computer learning labs; assist in the development of other academic, health, & recreation curricula utilized in the afterschool & summer programs; provide creative input & planning into camps, retreats, & sports for over 1,000 urban young people a year (elem.-high school age). Urban Youth Ministry Coordinator

Recruit, enroll & nurture youth elementary - high school ages through a ministry program as part of an urban church neighborhood outreach. Coordinate all program aspects including recruiting & managing team of adults. 1-3 yrs exp. working w/youth ideal (urban preferred); degree in education or related field desired; willing to join the church; clear driving record w/ability to obtain a CDL necessary. Make a difference as an AmeriCorps member by serving part-time to raise up urban youth as leaders! Variety of positions available (e.g. afterschool program support, tutoring, computer learning lab support, fitness/nutrition, volunteer support, & sports support). Receive a living allowance and money for school!

AmeriCorps positions begin August 9, 2010, and a second start date for September 2010.
